A School Day

The school gate opens at 8.10. We suggest parents bring their children to school between 8:20 and 8:30 in time to begin our day at 8:35. From 8.25 onward the teachers will be available on the playground, ready to receive the children.

The kindergarten children will start the day on the playground, by helping the teacher work in the garden or by exploring. Parents may provide support to their children by staying the first few minutes of the day. Sometimes the teacher will ask parents to stay even a bit longer to participate.

If there is something you need to communicate to the teacher in the morning, you may, but we prefer you do so with a note. If you think you will need more time to explain, try to save that information for after school, or make an appointment.

If you arrive late, due to unforeseeable circumstances, you may enter the building after 9:00 in a relaxed manner. Stress in the morning isn’t healthy for young children (and it doesn’t help adults either!).
