Arrival at School
Parents are responsible for bringing their children to the playground upon arrival at school.
The school gate opens at 8. We advise you arrive on time in order to start the day with ease. From 8:15 onward the teachers will be available on the playground, ready to receive the children.
The kindergarten children will start the day on the playground, by helping the teacher work in the garden or by exploring. Parents may provide support to their children by staying the first few minutes of the day. Sometimes the teacher will ask parents to stay even a bit longer to participate.
The first and second grade children enter the classroom with the teacher at 8.35. If there is something you need to communicate to the teacher in the morning, you may, but we prefer you do so with a note. If you think you will need more time to explain, try to save that information for after school, or make an appointment.
If you arrive late, due to unforeseeable circumstances, you may enter the building after 9:00 in a relaxed manner. Stress in the morning isn’t healthy for young children (and it doesn’t help adults either!).
Collecting Children from School
The teacher will bring your child to you on the playground at the end of the day. Please wait on the playground to welcome your child. If you are not able to pick up your child yourself, notify the teacher who is authorized to do so.
If your child has an off school ground appointment during school hours, please inform your teacher at least one day in advance. Also let us know who will be collecting or bringing the child.
