Autumn Holidays at IWSTH

It has been a busy season! We have celebrated Michaelmas and Martinmas in various ways in different classes.

For Michaelmas, the primary classes built sand dragons on the beach. The Kindergarten children made mandalas and dragon bread and went for a walk in the woods.

For Martinmas, the Class 1-2 children walked through the neighbourhood singing songs with their lanterns made out of turnips. Then they returned to school to enjoy hot chocolate. The Kindergarten children made their lanterns with jars and tissue paper, with the help of their parents and teachers.

Lastly, we received a visit from Saint Nicolas on Dec. 3 — how exciting! Enjoy a few photos…
